Safer Driving Lessons During COVID
Due to the latest COVID pandemic, you should take safe driving lesson measures to ensure that you and your instructors are safe. These are some of the measures that you can take to create a safe environment for everyone.
- Before the Lesson
In this course, a student needs to sit for 2 modules. In Module 1, the participants engage in group discussion with 6-12 other learner drivers to talk about road safety and risks. In Module 2, the participant will go for an in-car driving session with a qualified and experienced driving coach. In both scenarios, there is a chance of spreading the virus between the participants and the driving instructor.
To ensure safety, your instructor should come at least 5-10 minutes before the session and disinfect the exterior and interior of the car and classrooms including the door and handles. You should always carry a hand sanitizer with you to make sure that everything is squeaky clean.
- When You Hop in Car
Before starting the lesson of Safer Drivers Course, there should always been a COVID waiver between you and your instructor to make sure that you do not have any flu-like symptoms. You should also not have been in contact with any person who have been tested positive recently or just returned from overseas.

You should try to avoid anyone’s hand, your face, etc. You should also carry sanitary wipes with you so that you do not cough or sneeze in the air. Wearing a mask during these sessions is mandatory. Your coach must disinfect the car at the end of session too.
- Driving Instructor
If any student or your driving instructor is exhibiting any sickness, you should immediately connect with the staff so that the lesson can be rescheduled at a future date. If they are exhibiting any COVID symptoms, they should be tested within 48 hours. Until results are declared negative, they shouldn’t be allowed to attend any sessions or visit head office.
